A step-by-step breakdown of the Expert Session lifecycle in PropellerDeck, from initial request through to delivered feedback.

Session Lifecycle

Every Expert Session in PropellerDeck moves through a defined set of stages, from the moment you submit your request to the point where your feedback is ready. Understanding the lifecycle helps you know what to expect and when.

The Stages

Requested

You have submitted your session request. It is in the queue and awaiting assignment to an appropriate expert. No action is needed from you at this stage.

Under Review

An expert has been assigned and is reviewing your request. They are assessing the scope, confirming they are the right fit, and planning the session. You may receive a message from the expert if they need clarification before accepting.

Confirmed

The expert has accepted your request and scheduling is in progress. You will be notified once a date and time are set.

Booked

A date and time have been agreed upon for your session. Reminder notifications are sent automatically:

  • 24 hours before the session
  • 1 hour before the session

Make sure your contact details and notification preferences are up to date so you do not miss these reminders.

Completed

The live or async session has taken place. The expert is now preparing your deliverables — written feedback, notes, and any relevant artifacts.

Delivered

Your feedback and artifacts are ready. You will receive a notification directing you to the session page, where you can read the expert's written feedback, download any attached files, and add threaded comments for follow-up questions. Tracking Your Session

You can check the current status of any session at any time by going to Organization Dashboard > Expert Sessions and selecting the relevant session.
