Session Types

An overview of the three Expert Session types available in PropellerDeck — Quick Review, Deep Dive, and Async Review — and how to choose between them.

Session Types

When you book an Expert Session, you choose the type of session that best fits your needs. PropellerDeck offers three session types, each suited to different levels of urgency and depth.

Quick Review

A Quick Review is a fast, focused assessment of a specific question or narrowly scoped topic. It is ideal when you need a prompt, targeted answer — for example, a second opinion on a design decision, a brief audit of a specific function or page, or a rapid sanity check on a plan.

  • Best for: specific, well-defined questions
  • Turnaround: faster than other session types
  • Output: concise feedback focused on the question at hand

Deep Dive

A Deep Dive is a thorough, comprehensive review of a topic or area. It is appropriate when you need the expert to spend significant time working through a complex subject — for example, reviewing your entire technical architecture, conducting a full marketing audit, or evaluating a detailed business plan.

  • Best for: broad, complex topics requiring detailed analysis
  • Turnaround: longer than a Quick Review
  • Output: comprehensive written feedback and recommendations

Async Review

An Async Review is a flexible option where the expert works through your material at their own pace, without a scheduled live session. This is useful when scheduling a real-time session is difficult or when you simply want feedback delivered asynchronously.

  • Best for: situations where scheduling flexibility is important
  • Turnaround: at the expert's pace
  • Output: written feedback and any relevant artifacts

Choosing the Right Type

If your question is narrow and time-sensitive, a Quick Review is likely the best fit. If you need a thorough, end-to-end analysis, choose Deep Dive. If flexibility matters more than speed, Async Review works well. See Booking a Session to submit your request.
