Workspace Templates for Your Organization

Create and manage workspace templates at the organization level in PropellerDeck so your team can spin up pre-configured workspaces consistently.

Workspace Templates for Your Organization

Workspace Templates let you define a standard workspace configuration once and make it available to everyone on your team. Instead of each team member manually configuring agent settings, tools, and prompts from scratch, they can start from a template that has everything pre-set.

What a Template Configures

An organization workspace template can pre-configure:

  • Agent settings — model selection, temperature, and behavioral parameters
  • Tools — which tools are enabled by default (web search, code execution, file access, etc.)
  • Skills — pre-loaded skill packages relevant to a team's workflow
  • System Prompts — a starting prompt that defines the agent's role and persona
  • Knowledge — linked knowledge base documents the agent should have access to

Creating a Template

To create a workspace template for your organization:

  1. Open the Organization Dashboard at /orgs/<org_id>/.
  2. Click Workspace Templates in the left navigation.
  3. Select the Template Editor tab.
  4. Click New Template and give it a descriptive name — for example, "Support Agent Starter" or "Code Review Assistant".
  5. Configure each section: Agent Settings, Tools, Skills, and Prompts.
  6. Click Save Template.

The template is now available to all members of your organization.

Using a Template

When a team member creates a new workspace, they can select from the organization's published templates. All pre-configured settings are applied automatically, saving setup time and ensuring consistency across the team.
