AI Employees in FlowDeck
AI Employees integrate directly with FlowDeck — PropellerDeck's project management interface — so they can be assigned to projects and tasks just like human team members.
Assigning an AI Employee to a Project
When you are inside a FlowDeck molecule (project), you can add an AI Employee as a member of that project. Open the project's Settings panel and navigate to the Members section. You will see your organization's AI Employees listed alongside human team members. Toggle the AI Employee on to make it available for task assignments within that project.
Assigning an AI Employee to a Task
Within any atom (task), you can assign an AI Employee using the same Assignee field you would use to assign a human team member. Click the assignee field in the task detail view, and select the AI Employee from the dropdown. If the AI Employee has been enabled for automated work, it will begin processing the task according to its configured behavior.
How AI Employees Work on Tasks
Once assigned to a task, an AI Employee can:
- Read the task description, comments, and attached files
- Post comments and status updates to the task thread
- Update the task status as work progresses
- Trigger follow-up actions such as creating sub-tasks or notifying team members
AI Employees work within the same audit trail and comment system as human contributors, so you can always see exactly what they have done and when.
Monitoring AI Employee Activity
All actions taken by an AI Employee on a task are visible in the task's activity log and comment thread. You can @mention an AI Employee in a comment to direct a question or instruction to it, just as you would with a human colleague.
