Choosing a Model

Compare the AI models available in PropellerDeck — Claude Sonnet, Claude Opus, and Cerebras — and learn how to set your default.

Choosing a Model

PropellerDeck gives you a choice of three AI models to power your agent. Each model has different strengths, so the best choice depends on what you are working on.

Available Models

Claude Sonnet 4.6 — Standard

The default model for most workspaces. Claude Sonnet 4.6 offers a strong balance of quality and speed, making it well-suited for everyday tasks like writing, research, coding assistance, and general Q&A. Most users will find this model sufficient for the majority of their work.

Claude Opus 4.6 — Super Brain

The highest-capability model available on PropellerDeck. Claude Opus 4.6 excels at complex reasoning, nuanced writing, multi-step analysis, and tasks that benefit from deeper thinking. Use the Super Brain model when you need the best possible output and response time is less of a priority. Note that Opus uses more tokens per response, which may affect usage on limited plans.

Cerebras ZAI-GLM 4.7 — Super Speed

Optimized for the fastest possible response times. The Super Speed model is ideal when you need quick answers, rapid iteration, or are working through a high volume of short tasks. It trades some depth for dramatically reduced latency.

Setting Your Default Model

To change the default model for your workspace:

  1. Open Workspace Settings from the top navigation or sidebar.
  2. Find the Model selector.
  3. Choose your preferred model from the dropdown.

The selected model applies to all new conversations in that workspace until you change it again.

For information on how model choice affects your token usage, see Token Usage.
