Project Browser Tab
The Project Browser tab brings your project and task management directly into the content area, so you can track work and collaborate without switching to a separate view. It connects to PropellerDeck's task system and updates in real time.
Opening the Project Browser Tab
Click the "+" button in the tab bar and select Project Browser. The tab opens in a two-column layout.
Two-Column Layout
- Left column (Project list) — lists all projects associated with the current workspace. Click any project name to select it and load its tasks in the right column.
- Right column (Task details) — displays the tasks for the selected project. Click a task to expand its detail view, including description, assignees, due date, and activity.
Task Grouping
Tasks in the right column are grouped by status:
- Open — tasks that are in progress or not yet started.
- Completed — tasks that have been marked as done.
Collapse or expand each group by clicking the group header.
Real-Time Updates
The Project Browser tab uses a WebSocket connection to keep your view in sync. When a team member updates a task, adds a comment, or changes a status, the change appears in your tab automatically — no refresh required.
Commenting and Inline Editing
Click any task to open its detail panel. From there you can:
- Add comments — type in the comment field at the bottom of the detail panel and press Send to post. Comments are threaded so replies stay organised.
- Edit inline — click any field (title, description, assignee, due date) to edit it directly. Changes are saved immediately.
