Workspace Settings

Learn how to configure a workspace in PropellerDeck, including the system prompt, tools, skills, default model, and cloud sync.

Workspace Settings

Every workspace in PropellerDeck has its own settings that control how the AI agent behaves, which tools and skills are available, and whether files are synchronised with cloud storage. You can access these settings at any time while inside a workspace.

Opening Workspace Settings

Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the workspace header or sidebar. The Workspace Settings panel will open on the right side of the screen.

Available Configuration Options

Title and Description

Update the workspace Name and Description at the top of the settings panel. These are displayed in the workspace list and help you and your team identify the workspace at a glance.

System Prompt

The System Prompt field lets you give the AI agent standing instructions that apply to every conversation in this workspace. Use it to set tone, define the agent's role, provide background context, or restrict the kinds of responses you want.

Default Model

Use the Default Model dropdown to select which AI model the workspace agent uses. Different models offer different capabilities and speed trade-offs.

Tools

The Tools section shows a list of built-in capabilities — such as web search, code execution, or document parsing. Toggle each tool on or off depending on what the workspace needs. Disabling tools you don't use keeps the agent focused.

Skills

The Skills section lets you enable or disable specialised skill sets for the agent. Skills extend the agent's capabilities beyond the built-in tools.

Cloud Sync

The Cloud Sync section lets you connect the workspace to external cloud storage so files are kept in sync automatically.

  • Dropbox Sync — click Connect Dropbox, authenticate with your Dropbox account, then select the folder you want to sync with this workspace.
  • Google Drive Sync — click Connect Google Drive, authenticate, then select the target folder.

Once connected, files uploaded to the workspace are mirrored to the selected folder, and files added to that folder externally appear in the workspace. For full details, see Cloud Sync.
